Clearspring Technologies announced earlier this week the launch of Launchpad , a suite of applications that allows developers to convert websites into widgets that can be added to social networks, blogs, and other sites.
That way, a company can make a widget - a small application, usually with one single function - with images or games that can be distributed on other sites, says Hooman Radfar, founder and CEO of Clearspring Technologies.
Developers can use Clearspring code to quickly insert menus or share buttons on their sites. This will give end users the ability to quickly insert a widget on a site, in particular a blog.
Developers using Launchpad will also have access to Clearspring statistics and reports to monitor widget views, their placement, unique viewers, and time spent using widgets. Clearspring offers various statistics visualization tools, including import into Excel.
In addition, Clearspring will offer several examples and libraries to help developers with widget development.
