Google will introduce students of Russia with the latest developments on the Web

Google has announced the launch of the Google Tech Talks campaign, a series of meetings and events that will take place in 20 Russian universities over the course of three months, which will talk about the impact of the Internet on our lives, as well as talk about the latest search technologies and the future of the Web.

At the end of September, a team of fifty Russian employees at Google, including programmers, marketers and project managers, will begin a series of Google Talks meetings. These informal meetings with students are designed to help Google build a broad dialogue with Russian students about the impact of the Internet on how we learn, work and live. It is planned to discuss a variety of issues, from the latest advances in search technologies to the future of the World Wide Web. The head of the Russian office of Google Vladimir Dolgov says that Google hopes "that this campaign will inspire Russian students to actively use the opportunities that the Internet provides today, in their studies, at the university and beyond."

Google Talks will be held at universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novgorod, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Perm.

By the way, tomorrow, on the occasion of September 1, a surprise is waiting for all users on the Google homepage - a holiday logo made especially for 7 million Russian students :)
