Iomega NAS at the price of a regular external hard drive

All Iomega Home Network Hard Drive models are based on SATA-II hard drives with 8MB cache and 7200 rpm spindle speeds. They also provide a USB 2.0 port for optional connection to a computer as a regular external drive. Network capabilities are provided by the presence of a built-in 10/100 Ethernet adapter. In order to configure the “system”, simply connect the drive to the router and install on each PC that needs to provide access to the Iomega Home Network Hard Drive, which comes with the Discovery Tool Home utility. As for PCs based on Mac OS and Linux, in this case the hardware configuration and settings will have to be done manually.
