GoGo.Ru is now looking for videos on LiveInternet and MyVi

The search service GoGo.ru, developed by Mail.Ru , now searches the contents of such Runet video hosting sites as LiveInternet.ru and MyVi . At the moment, GoGo indexes about 835 thousand videos. LiveInternet increased this number by 81 thousand, and MuVi - by 15 thousand.

Now GoGo indexes videos on a 9-resources: Video@Mail.Ru , RuTube , LoadUp , Rambler the Vision , Video.I.UA. , LiveInternet and MuVi, as well as on the Russian-language part of YouTube and Metacafe content .

The search is carried out in accordance with the original algorithm, which allows you to collect information about the video, including its name, tags, description and previews from several web pages.

According to Dmitry Grishin, CEO of Mail.Ru, video search is an extremely promising and at the same time practically unreached niche in the domestic Internet search market. The volume of user-generated video content on the Russian Internet is growing at an astonishing rate, with an average of 6,000 new videos appearing on Video Mail.Ru every day. To ignore this growth would be, at a minimum, shortsighted. So at the moment, the development of this particular type within the GoGo project is a priority for Mail.RU.
