Social sites ... new, fashionable, but why?
I have been a user since a long time ago. With a primary invite from LJ-celebrity, and other innocent fetishes, valuable, however, only within the site. I came to "read and watch," left to "speak and show." Everything is relatively simple and clear.
Recently (in the needs of a project), I began to study existing social networks. Myspace, bebo, friendster, facebook and xanga came into view. I do not consider myself to be LJ patriots (as, indeed, to any patriots in general), and yet I cannot fail to note that all of the above networks, unlike LJ, are either meaningless or conceal a deep, incomprehensible meaning inaccessible to me.
What is the thing to get yourself a disgusting page on myspace, and (at the peak of perversion) equip it with a home-made code, bringing all this mess to complete abomination? By what principle are incomprehensible “friends” added? The nonsense that they write in the comments is apparently taken from some dope generator with a limited number of options, so they are similar.
Facebook is admittedly “better.” A very dubious and easily achievable merit. The same garbage, wretched and ugly. The rest differ only in additional contrived functions and jokes worthy of the rebellious ghosts of the “Pupkin’s hamsters” with Narod.ru
I wonder: why all this? What exactly did I misunderstand?
Is someone ready to explain?
