Half of Moscow is already online
More than half of Moscow has visited the Internet, according to a study by the FDFgroup agency conducted in July this year among 1936 respondents. Even a little more Muscovites online - 51%, writes Lenta.Ru.
At the same time, 61% of internet users are daily web users. Far fewer people (26%) go online several times a week. 8% of users appear there once a week, and only 5% go online even less often.
The level of Internet penetration varies depending on the studied area of Moscow. The most “advanced” in Internetization turned out to be Krylatskoye, where 63% of residents know firsthand about the World Wide Web. The smallest number of users - 43% - are in Orekhovo-Borisovo and Zyablikovo. However, residents of these areas are the most active: 73% of them are online daily. Less often than others, Strogino residents go online; among internet users there are about 45% of daily users.
