As part of the Google Books project, you can now not only view the scanned pages of books one after another, but also download the entire PDF file, where the entire book will be in excellent quality.
Some of the books that are officially recognized as public domain are available for download. For example, Dante ’s Divine Comedy in PDF takes 19.9 MB.
In addition to Google Books, another large archive of digitized books on the Internet is the site of the Gutenberg Project , which contains about 19,000 free publications, but there is no full-text search on the contents of books, like on Google.
