Do you know what the Internet is?

14% of Russians have no idea about the Internet. This is evidenced by a survey conducted by sociologists of the Analytical Center of Yuri Levada. Among those who have never heard the word “Internet” at all, there are the largest number of pensioners and people with a lower secondary education (over the past five years, the number of people who don’t know about the World Wide Web has halved). At the same time, over the past five years, the number of Russians constantly using the global network has grown from 4 to 17 percent.
