Roskomnadzor challenged absurd court decision to block an article on the creation of explosives in Minecraft
Roskomnadzor sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office of the Tyumen region to revise the decision of the Zavodoukovsky district court of the Tyumen region to block an article on the game Minecraft, according to the official page of the department in the social network "Vkontakte". This article is about creating an in-game object "TNT".
The Zavodoukovsky District Court of the Tyumen Region decided to block the article “Minecraft” on the territory of the Russian Federation, as it contains information “about the method of manufacturing explosives, which is prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation,” says Roskomnadzor.
The agency cites a screenshot from the article, the information in which prompted the Tyumen court to make a similar decision:
“We sent an appeal to the prosecutor’s office of the Tyumen region with a request to reconsider this decision. A prompt reply was received that the application for review of the decision was sent to the court, and measures to enforce this decision have not yet been applied. Well, we will not, "- said in a statement regulator.
The design of the publication and the general tone of the message in the RKN group testifies that even the regulator is not ready to put up with really absurd and marasmic decisions that the judges make because of ignorance or because of their unwillingness to delve into the essence of the situation.
It should be noted that in Minecraft explosives are made of gunpowder and sand (or red sand), which has nothing to do with real explosives, which has a much more complex chemical structure and are much more difficult to manufacture.
The lack of a logical connection between gaming and real explosives is also mentioned in the article about the TNT block on the Russian Minecraft Survey: “The TNT block contains many inconsistencies with the real world. It is called “TNT” (i.e., trotyl), but it consists of 16 sticks of dynamite, which in reality are filled not with trinitrotoluene (as many mistakenly think), but with an adsorbent (such as sawdust, sand or earth) soaked in nitroglycerin. This unit is crafted from a mixture of sand and gunpowder, although gunpowder has nothing to do with either trinitrotoluene or dynamite. "
