Paranoid video from Yandex.Money metap

I recently read an article on how to learn to program for Android from scratch in half an hour. It began with the words “You can not even guess, but millions of people around the world earn money on developing applications for Android.” Further in it, of course, there was nothing good - install Android Studio, here you have XML, here is the activity, type the text in Java here. A completely standard I-teach-you-program-for-half-an-hour article advertising paid courses.

The truth is that no money is enough if you try to learn everything in the world on paid courses. And the other truth is that in the world there are grains of useful development knowledge from good developers - and for free. This post is one of those grains.

On May 29, we had an Android Paranoid mitap, and here are three reports from it. Colleagues spoke in detail about Google’s ML Kit, about developing a client for a distributed system, and about one public API that Google does not advertise. Welcome to cat.

    ML Kit: mobile-first to AI-first

    Yuri Chechetkin, Yandex.Money

Last year's Google I / O announced the ML Kit - a set of tools for implementing neural networks and machine learning in mobile applications. In the report, we will analyze what the ML Kit can do and what it is useful for.

Features of client development for a distributed system

    Roman Yatsyna, Revolut

Let's talk about distributed systems in terms of designing client applications. I’ll tell you what idempotency is, why we need and why message passing style and CQRS-compatible API are important, and how to use them to design an application data layer.

A public API that does not advertise Google

    Vladimir Genovich, Yandex.Money

I’ll break patterns and break stereotypes - I’ll show how to introduce singletones from nowhere, how to forget about basic activity and fragment, and teach how to legally do things that were impossible before.

This was a report from the Android Paranoid mitap from Yandex.Money. If you have questions for the speakers, ask in the comments, and we will pass them on and answer. Or they will come here themselves.

We also have a wonderful playlist , where there is almost all the videos from almost all of our IT-meetings - study, pump.

    So win!
