Where to buy radio parts and components? Part I: Russia

Let's talk about buying electronic components online. I have compiled a list of interesting domestic and foreign stores:

a) which are tailored for DIY lovers and make their own cool products: designers, modules, training courses, etc .;

b) for the pros, with a wide range of electronic components.

Note: the author is in no way affiliated with the following stores. All information is taken from official sites, or is the personal experience of the author. The estimate of the number of items in the assortment is taken from a request to Google.

Amperka , Moscow

Range:

• ~ 600 + positions.
• Arduino (original) and compatible boards.
• Single Board Raspberry Pi and BBC micro: bit.
• Shields and modules, breadboards, displays, sensors, mechanics, radio components, etc.
• Ready-made kits for beginners.

What is interesting about the store:

• Own line of Iskra JS boards , programmable in Javascript and mechanically compatible with Arduino.
• Troyka's own line of modules with ready-made harnesses in a standard form factor that allow beginners to assemble devices without soldering on an Arduino, Iskra or Raspberry Pi.
• Educational kits for beginners with documentation in Russian, incl. Robonyash .
• Wiki with examples and video .

DKO Elektronshchik , Moscow

Range:

• A very large assortment - ~ 1.7 million items, a lot is in stock.
• Passive components: resistors, capacitors, chokes, etc.
• Integrated circuits.
• Sensors
• Boards STM32, PIC32, ESP8266, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and others, programmers, shields and related components.

The store is interesting for a good assortment of microcontrollers and single-board computers. In addition to the above, they sell the Onion line in Russia, DFRobot products.

Quartz , Moscow

• A large assortment of radio components - more than 30,000 items.
• There are consumables, chemistry, tools, all kinds of quartz.
• Soviet radio components: radio tubes, measuring heads, etc.

There are two retail outlets in Moscow: one at 4 bus stops from metro station Elektrozavodskaya, and the second - right at the metro station Enthusiasts Highway. In the store you can consult.

Mitinsky radio market (relevant only for Muscovites)

Despite the fact that most of the areas are occupied by traders of iPhones and vapes, and the “wild” market has long been demolished, you can still find something interesting on Mitinsky:

• On the basement and first floor there are Profi stores siriust.ru - they sell tools, soldering equipment, machines, DIY consumables, kits for creativity, etc.
• The entire basement is interesting, here you can buy electronic components, cables, tools, electrics, chemistry, ferrites, ionistors, etc.
• And on the very top, third floor, they sell / buy used radio components. However, there are also pavilions that sell new components, connectors, batteries, etc.

You can go to the market even on weekends, only earlier, in my opinion, by five or six in the evening sellers begin to disperse. The disadvantage of the market is that it is located beyond the MKAD and far from the metro.

Chip and Deep , Moscow

Pros and cons:

• A very, very large assortment - 85,000+ items, i.e. there is everything. Running gear is usually available, something is on order.
• In addition to components in ChiD, tools, various consumables, cut-off cables, cases, power supplies and so on are sold.
• There are retail outlets in 21 cities of Russia and one in Minsk. In stores, well-designed display cases with components, you can consult with sellers. Work on weekends.
• The minus follows from the previous plus: when they talk about Chip and Deep, they always remember about high prices - the store needs to pay for the rental of premises.

In fact, not everything is expensive, I recommend comparing prices in advance and looking at the situation. Recently I bought a holder from them at 30% cheaper than in China .

Freeduino , Kemerovo

Freeduino are open source, fully Arduino-compatible boards and shields. On the site you can buy them ready-made and in the form of kits for assembly. There are interesting things, for example, Freeduino MaxSerial - Arduino with RS-232 interface.

Ekits.ru , Mapiy El, Zvenigovo

The store offers not only a good selection of radio components, microcircuits, tools and materials, but also ready-made modules : lighting control, thermostats, charging modules, etc.

iarduino.ru , Moscow

Range:

• ~ 400 + positions.
• Arduino and compatible boards.
• Single Board: ESP32, Omega2, Teensy, etc.
• Shields and modules, breadboards, displays, sensors, mechanics, PSUs, radio components, etc.
• Kits for beginners.

What are interesting:

• Own line of Trema modules for building projects on Arduino without soldering.
• Own sets of robots , walking and wheeled.
• Tutorials , wikis and videos .

• Brown Bear is a specialized store for cables and connectors, as well as tools for them.
• Voltmaster - radio components, components, microcontrollers; There are shops in Samara, Tomsk and Rostov-on-Don.
• Delta , Novokuznetsk - components, microcontrollers, assembly kits; there is a retail store.
• Istok2 - radio tubes by mail.
