Case mJoose amplifying signal of the smartphone 100 times awarded at CES 2016

Welcome to our readers on the iCover Blog Pages ! Surely those who like to travel, wander along mountain trails or have to hang out on permanent business trips between settlements, like no one else knows the problem of a weak signal or dead zones in the mobile operator’s network. And even the most modern and sophisticated smartphone at such moments is no more valuable than an empty can from under Coke. An effective solution to the problem can be a protective case for the mJoose smartphone, which allows you to amplify a useful signal by 100 times. It is this figure that its creators call, citing the test results of an independent accredited laboratory as an argument “For”. The innovative mJoose 3-in-1 case was highly appreciated at CES 2016, where he won awards in two categories at once.

Indeed, despite the urgency of the problem, a similar original and simple solution lying on the surface was proposed for the first time. Moreover, the developers - the team of Daniel Ashe from California, decided to go further, and, in addition to the signal amplification unit in the range of 700 - 2100 MHz, provided the device with a sufficiently powerful backup battery. The case was developed for the iPhone 6 / 6S, iPhone 6 Plus / iPhone 6 Plus S and Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge smartphones. The capacity of the built-in battery with support for fast charging, respectively, 3000, 3750 and 3300 mAh. Of course, initially being a case, mJoose perfectly copes with its direct responsibility and reliably protects the back cover and the edges of the device from falls and other mechanical influences, leaving open access to the camera.

Thus, mJoose is the first of its kind smartphone case with such a wide range of useful functions.

To date, mJoose is presented on the Indiegogo platform, where since the announcement managed to collect 549% of the originally announced target amount. And, according to project manager Daniel Ashe, all the production facilities necessary to start commercial sales are in “full combat readiness”.

Cost mJoose 3 in 1 on Indiegogo / retail:

    • For iPhone 6 Plus / iPhone 6S Plus - $ 109/160
    • For iPhone 6 / 6S - $ 99/150
    • For iPhone 5 / 5S - $ 79/140
    • For Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge - $ 99/150

All versions are available in two colors: matte black and ivory.

An additional battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh built-in to the case allows you to increase the duration of the call using the above handsets by an average of 17 hours, watch a video by 14 hours, and listen to audio files by 60 hours. At the same time, the developers promise that the battery will charge twice as fast as a standard battery.

Test results of mJoose by an independent CTIA certified laboratory in LTE and WCDA networks

Signal strength and voice quality may vary depending on the user's location and carrier level. We (stated in the presentation) provide data obtained as a result of measurements of the signal amplified by mJoose, carried out by specialists of the CTIA-certified laboratory. In LTE and WCDMA networks, the increase in the absolute value of the signal level was 20 dB, which corresponds to its 100-fold gain.

The mJoose case amplifies the signal in any network within the available working frequency range, which minimizes the percentage of lost incoming calls and improves the quality of communication.

Unproductive use of the main battery due to the absence or low quality of the signal and the smartphone’s increased attempts to find and connect to an accessible tower significantly reduces its resource. Thanks to the built-in amplifier, the energy and resource consumption when using each of the batteries can be reduced by 25-30%.

The presentation notes that the mJoose signal amplifier works in CDMA, GSM, TDMA, and 2G, 3G / 4G LTE networks. At the same time, the device is absolutely safe for the user, since the level of "additional" radiation generated, as confirmed by the test results, is 0.0001 of the radiation level generated by the smartphone.

Over the past year, it is noted further in the presentation package, we completed the development of prototypes and created working samples, selected a production partner, and purchased the components necessary for the manufacture of cases. Shipment of mJoose as part of the pre-order starts in January - March. Whether the hopes of the developers, and now potential users of mJoose, will justify themselves, or whether they will replenish the museum of deceived illusions, it will become clear in the near future.
