Jabra Sport Pace Wireless Headset. Sport and music
I do jogging, and my standard workout begins with the fact that after warming up I turn on my player, put in my headphones and separate myself from the whole world. I start a run - 5 kilometers going into myself and into music. At the moment, many gadgets have been invented for athletes - they measure steps, pulse, number of calories burned. Measurement of training indicators is very important, because this is a kind of game of racing with yourself, but I would not want to be hung around with gadgets like a Christmas tree during sports. Indeed, in training you should not have anything superfluous, at the same time, measuring your body indicators for the correct regime is no less important. And it seems an extraordinary way out - Jabra Sport Pace . Greetings to everyone on the iCover blog .
And in the comments, to the most resourceful, we have already presented Jabra Pace !
The history of the modern company Jabra began back in 1969 in Denmark with the industrial tycoon who founded the Great Northern Telegraph Company (GN), which was engaged in telegraph, the telegraph line of this company connected Europe and Asia. In 1977, Danavox, a manufacturer of hearing aids, was acquired, which was a new step in the company's history, a step into a new field of activity. After the crisis of 1986 and the revision of the headset business for the office, the company's business went uphill, in 1987 sales increased by 34%, and new offices were opened in America and Canada. In 2000, the company was acquired, Jabra - at that time already a well-known headset manufacturer. GN has redesigned the headsets, and new Jabra devices that are great in quality and performance have appeared on the market. Already in 2011, the company became a recognized market leader.
There are 2 problems in ordinary wired in-ear or in-channel for me: the first is a wire that is sometimes annoying (so far I have not found a convenient life hack thanks to which I could run beautifully in wired headphones as happy characters from commercials), the second is protection from sweat (thus once killed an excellent pair of IE4 senchs). I chose for myself wireless. And the Pace headset in this case is not only good music for sports, but also a personal trainer. For many, this will be a new kick for the main point of attraction to the sofa - as for me, for example.
Thanks to the joint work of the device and application for the smartphone, you can:
Opening the front of the box (which is mounted on a magnet) you will see the headset in all its glory. In addition to it in the box is a set of interchangeable ear pads, a spare wire clip, a manual and a USB cable. The quality of the device itself can indirectly be judged by the quality of the packaging - nothing more, everything is concise, simple and thought out.
The headset is a cable-connected flexible headband stereo earphones. It fits all on the ears and the clasp on the cable allows you to change the length of the cable and adjust for yourself. The cable has a remote control with standard volume buttons and a multifunction button (let's call it uber-OK). Using this button, you can connect headphones via Bluetooth to the gadget, turn on the headset, answer and reject a call, start and stop music playback.
The wiring itself with the remote control, by the way, is unusual. It is coated on one side with a special reflective compound, so the runner in the headlights from behind gets another extra point for road safety.
On the left earphone, the outside is endowed with a convenient Sport button, which starts training mode and stops it. It all works accordingly with the application via Bluetooth. The connection is standard, the blue-tooth version is 4.1 and therefore support on the smartphone version 4.0 and higher will give an advantage in working time according to the LE standard with the application involved.
Headphones are interconnected by a cable, which is thrown back for convenience. Pace sits comfortably thanks to its flexible design, gel ear pads and low weight - 22g. A full battery charge lasts for 5 hours of training, and the battery is charged almost instantly - you can easily charge in the morning before jogging or going to the training room during the standard half-hour morning ritual.
This model does not have sensors for monitoring the pulse or pedometer, unlike its older brothers Jabra Sport Pulse with a heart rate monitor and Jabra Sport Coach with a pedometer. But there is that same coach who drives you and generally creates a feeling of presence and some kind of race.
At the same time, the headphones are waterproof (and snow-tight, given the season), so you don’t have to worry that they will deteriorate from bad weather or sweat (as I wrote above, several headphones became unusable because of the sweat). The model has a good sensitivity of 100dB, but it would be nice to tighten up the volume. This, of course, is subjective - I like to feel the power in music (I don’t like Beats at the same time).
You can download this application for free in the AppStore or Google Play, and as already mentioned, the application allows you to plan your workouts, get advice from a trainer, set and achieve the goal of your workouts. Management is intuitive and simple, everyone can deal with it.
A big plus of the application from Jabra are its fitness tests. You can make them both at home and on the street. After this, the recommendations will be more accurate and personalized for your degree of training. Compared with the tests of other popular sports applications (for example, Adidas MiCouch), these are much more accurate, and it was more interesting to me to pass them (and more difficult, too). In general, an additional quest and challenge are provided - what else is needed from the motivating app!
For me, the Jabra Sport Pace has become a great combination of sport and music. Now there is no need to hang on several devices and you can completely go into training, with support useful in most cases from a smart application. In ergonomics, they are not inferior to more expensive models, they normally hold on the ear during intense training.
The advantages in this model revealed:
Small cons of the device:
As a result, the new Pace has become a logical bridge model between the Jabra Sport Rox with a cool magnetic fastener and without a trainer, and the Coach and Pulse models, which I have already referenced above in the text. By the way, Pace has a slightly more interesting choice of colors, which for some it may become the main criterion for selection. At the start of exclusive sales in iCover, headphones logically cost a little more than Rox and a little cheaper than Coach - less than 10,000 rubles. For those who use a separate heart rate monitor (for example, like me - Mio Fuse) this is a great option.
All success in sports!

Why sports headphones?
There are 2 problems in ordinary wired in-ear or in-channel for me: the first is a wire that is sometimes annoying (so far I have not found a convenient life hack thanks to which I could run beautifully in wired headphones as happy characters from commercials), the second is protection from sweat (thus once killed an excellent pair of IE4 senchs). Thanks to the joint work of the device and application for the smartphone, you can:
- Plan your workout or jogging route
- Set and achieve training goals
- Get advice from a personal trainer
- Listen to your favorite music with high-quality stereo sound
- Get rid of excess wires that interfere with your workouts.
- Train in any weather, because the headset is waterproof
Packaging and equipment

In addition to it in the box is a set of interchangeable ear pads, a spare wire clip, a manual and a USB cable. Ergonomics Jabra Sport Pace
Headphones are interconnected by a cable, which is thrown back for convenience. Pace sits comfortably thanks to its flexible design, gel ear pads and low weight - 22g. Jabra Sport Life App
You can download this application for free in the AppStore or Google Play, and as already mentioned, the application allows you to plan your workouts, get advice from a trainer, set and achieve the goal of your workouts. Management is intuitive and simple, everyone can deal with it.

Verdict
For me, the Jabra Sport Pace has become a great combination of sport and music. Now there is no need to hang on several devices and you can completely go into training, with support useful in most cases from a smart application. In ergonomics, they are not inferior to more expensive models, they normally hold on the ear during intense training.
The advantages in this model revealed:
- Lightweight and comfortable design
- All in one, sport and sound
- Water resistant
- Good sound quality for a wireless headset
- Quick charge
Small cons of the device:
- 5 hours of work on a full charge (not enough if you use headphones just to listen to music)
- Lack of sensors to track the body's metrics (well, such ears are already more expensive)
