What a resume of a technical university graduate looks like as an engineer in SpaceX

Benjamin Klein recently graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with the highest possible success rate (4.0 GPA). During training, he managed to establish himself in an area that lies quite far from space research. Benjamin has received a patent for a device for taking blood from a finger for analyzing glucose levels in people with diabetes. Therefore, the offer of SpaceX recruiters was probably unexpected for him.

Benjamin was offered a job at Ilon Musk as a test engineer, and he agreed without hesitation. He will begin work at SpaceX on August 3 of this year, and in the meantime, will deal with the completion of his personal research projects. At the initial stage, Benjamin’s work will not specifically concern interplanetary missions - he will be involved in the quality control of parts received by SpaceX, but, as he says, “... I’m ready to work hard from the very first day.”

Benjamin's resume, which he sent to the company, speaks of his rather solid experience in research organizations. He managed to work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and as a teacher at his own university. He also has good programming experience, including Java, C / C ++, Python, and Visual Basic. The summary itself is as follows:

Benjamin believes that working at SpaceX is fundamentally different from NASA, which is a government organization with many bureaucratic obstacles to research. At Elon Mask, everything is different: he makes decisions quickly, constantly looking for something new and failures do not stop him.
