BSXinsight - muscle test for wear

Modern fitness trackers allow you to monitor the distance that you have covered, calculate calories burned, show your pulse and pressure, and also monitor your body’s water balance and sleep patterns. All these are very useful functions if you play sports at an amateur level to keep fit, but these indicators are not enough to accurately calculate the loads.

In order to determine the optimal load for themselves, rather than relying on the “tired - not tired” sensations, professional athletes, especially athletes, measure the anaerobic threshold . This is the level of oxygen consumption by the muscles, after which the excessive production of lactic acid (lactate) begins, in such situations the muscles are no longer able to process it, which leads to a decrease in the workout productivity.

After all, the athlete’s main goal is to enter the competitive period and perform at the start in his best form, and it’s also important not to over-train. This sometimes happens if the level of lactic acid in the blood goes off scale and there is no time for the withdrawal of decay products.
Previously, such calculations were obtained through complex checks, a minute analysis of blood and heart rate. However, a year ago, the Kickstarter launched the BSXinsight project, which raised $ 122 thousand, which was enough to set up production .
The company managed to complete the project to the end and no more than yesterday, March 31, the first BSXinsight trackers went on sale. In total, there are three models in the line: running, cycling and the so-called multisport. The initial price of the device is $ 300.

It is a bandage with an optical sensor that measures the level of oxygen in the blood, which allows you to calculate the optimal level of muscle stress without overcoming the anaerobic threshold . In addition, a heart rate monitor is built into the gadget and an application for iPhone and Android is written to display indicators.

Now, in the process of training, the gadget will display the level of lactate in the blood - this will make the preparatory period much more effective (it will tell you on which days you can have a good, exhausting workout, and on which days it is necessary to reduce the intensity) and will allow the athlete to show his best result in the competition.
