ComfortWay for virtual operators



    We announced the Affiliate Program of the company and now dwell in more detail on how ComfortWay improves the solutions and business of partners. Today's post about integration with mobile and virtual operators and the answer to the question “why?”.

    So far we are positioning the ComfortWay platform as a hardware-software complex on which we launched our own service for connecting to different mobile operators based on the Remote SIM provisioning standard, which we already wrote about .

    At the same time, we can position the company as MVNE - Mobile Virtual Network Enabler and / or MVNA - Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator. Those. in essence, integrate their solutions with the infrastructure of operators so that all the platform capabilities become available to the operator’s subscribers and / or take on the role of the owner of the infrastructure in the integration project. Today we will talk in more detail about the integration scenario with virtual and mobile operators and their values.

    For virtual operators


    Scenario No. 1 The company plans to create a virtual operator.

    Tasks to be solved:

    • provide the company's customers with Internet access services (voice call and SMS) in the home region and in roaming.
    • create a converged product by integrating communication with its main services - financial, for example.

    Implementation - ComfortWay transfers the platform for rent (conditionally PaaS) or deploys it on the customer side. Integration with basic services takes place at the level of developing offers to the client - service, bundle, convergent product and technological integration. Also, a partner can connect the ComfortWay Loyalty Program - a list of Internet services, when purchasing services of which the client will be credited with a reward in the form of bonuses to save on communication and roaming. To start the MVNO partner, in addition to integration, it is necessary to issue a branded SIM card and adapt the ComfortWay application to your tasks.

    The main advantage of MVNO c ComfortWay is that the owner of a virtual network does not build it on the infrastructure of a single mobile operator, but can dynamically connect subscribers to the services of several local operators and dozens of global ones.

    A little bit about the trends in the development of virtual operators. Italy, Spain, has long been virtual operators, Sberbank and the social network VKontakte announced the creation of virtual operators this fall. In the same scenario, a large company can create MVNO for itself - just recently Domodedovo Airport did so.

    Scenario # 2 Full MVNO Company

    Technological integration consists in integrating partners' software and hardware platforms and installing a virtual operator java applet on the SIM card. The company has developed an API and the integration and launch of a new service will be seamless for the operator. We can also implement integration through RADIUS. As a result of integration, the virtual operator will be able to provide its subscribers with all ComfortWay roaming-free tariffs.

    If we talk about the launch dates, then the implementation of both scenarios will take up to two months. Currently, we have launched pilot projects in all scenarios and by the end of the year we will publish cases on them.



    For mobile operators


    We only formulate proposals for the most important category of partners for us and today we see several interesting scenarios of such a partnership. After integrating with us, the mobile operator can:

    • sell your services in our “tariff store” / ComfortWay application ;
    • apply an alternative to the roaming model of providing services outside the home region;
    • issue a SIM-card for incoming tourists, which will become the main for him in all trips.
