The famous writer William Gibson, the author of many geeks' favorite science fiction prose in the cyberpunk style, which he founded ("Neuromancer", "Count Zero", "Mona Lisa Overdrive"), decided to change the medium of expression of his thoughts, and switched from writing prose to the composition of comics. Together with artist Bruce Guice [Bruce Guice] he creates the comics "Archangel" (Archangel).

Comic book publisher IDW Publishing . “These are comics in the genre of alternative history and the intersection of worlds,” the author writes. - I would not like to spoil the world-building scheme, since it is an integral part of the story. I will say that one of the first nicknames of this work given to us by us was “Band Of Brothers” versus “Blackwater”.

No wonder the comic book world “Archangel” is in ruins. The US government has been relocated from the White House to the “Federal Emergency Area” in Montana. The technologically fictional world surpasses ours, although the action of comics begins in February 2016.

In the story, the son of the president, who holds the post of vice president, is surgically made to look like his grandfather - he must go back in time in 1945 to change the world for the better (at least from his point of view).

His point of view does not suit other people, as a result of which two marines are also sent to the past to stop the vice president’s machinations. They set off on a stealth plane, which very unsuccessfully appears in the sky with a group of British bombers. As a result, the first part of the comic book takes place in 1945, where a British intelligence officer is trying to understand what kind of thing appeared in the sky.

The publishing house has already sold the first series of 20 pages at a very high speed, in just a few days, and announced the preparation for printing of an additional batch. For impatient readers, comics are available electronically (ePub and PDF).
