AutoCAD, Sketchbook, 3D Max, Maya are now free for educational institutions, teachers and students

And this is true for educational institutions and students around the world, and not just a specific country. Autodesk announced its intention to make its own software free for pupils and students, schools and universities just yesterday.
The company's specialists estimated that AutoCAD, Sketchbook, 3D Max, Maya and other software will be able to get about 680 million students and teachers of secondary and higher educational institutions from 188 countries.
In the United States, Autodesk software became free for students and teachers even earlier through the ConnectED program. This program was launched by US President Barack Obama.
According to the company's specialists, free software will allow students of schools and universities to prepare themselves for work in various companies, where former students will come to get a job. At the same time, young people will already have solid experience working with Autodesk software, which should facilitate a job. In addition, a large number of young professionals who can work with professional software should, according to the company, take the industry to a new round of development.
