March 22-24, Moscow, OpenHack on containers and microservices from Microsoft

I am now in Microsoft in the engineering team responsible for supporting projects with containers and microservices on Azure. In the process of communicating with partners and customers, a lot of questions arise. Often the very first question is why do we need containers. My favorite answer is, if you don’t need containers, you don’t need containers :) But still I offer some classic applications of containers. The second question is whether containerization is a transition to a microservice architecture. The general answer, of course, is no. A simple example is the translation of the entire monolith into a container. The third most popular question is how will containers change / improve my DevOps process. Actually, as with microservices, the answer is the same - the mere introduction of projects into the process does not improve the DevOps process in any way, but opens up new possibilities for improving it.

Some of these and many other questions can be answered by trying all these technologies and approaches with your own hands, but it is not always possible to do this on a real project. Therefore, we present to you a new event format from Microsoft - OpenHack - a three-day interactive practical wokshop . The first event of this format will be held in Moscow on March 22-24.

To participate in OpenHack, we invite developers who would like to explore the possibilities of implementing microservice and / or container-oriented scripts for Azure Container Services, Azure Container Instances and Service Fabric. For three days, you will be immersed in a structured set of consistent practical exercises in English for working in teams.

To complete the tasks you need to come with your laptop.

To participate, you must register , the number of seats is limited.
