On November 18–19, 2017, the first Legal Tech Hackathon in Russia will be held at the Atmosphere Coworking Center in Moscow

The organizer of the hackathon will be Moscow Legal Hackers , the Russian branch of the international community Legal Hackers, which currently has 59 branches around the world.

Earlier in May 2017, the first CIS Legal Tech hackathon was successfully held in Kiev, bringing together more than 200 participants and guests.

We strive to bring together lawyers who dream of ridding the profession of mechanical work and programmers who believe in the industry’s promise, help them come up with ideas that the market demonstrates need, provide resources, business expertise and see which of these grow awesome products. Legal Tech is not yet included in the investment portfolios of funds, but much has already been done to make this happen. In particular, the 2 best projects will receive seats in accelerators, as well as cash prizes from sponsors.

Hackathon will be held in 2 stages.

The first - until November 01 - the collection of applications for participation. According to its results, on November 5 at 15.00 a meeting with teams will be held at the hackathon site to discuss product ideas.

The second - on November 18-19, the Atmosphere coworking center will host the main event, which will last 2 days. The best experts of investment funds, accelerators, legal departments of corporations will actively work with teams at the hackathon and share their experience.

Over the weekend, participants are invited to assemble or supplement a team for their project, make a prototype under the guidance of mentors, present the product to an expert jury and win a cash prize, as well as special prizes from sponsors and partners of the event.

• programmers, specialists in machine learning, mathematics, undergraduates of legal universities;
• lawyers;
• Legal Tech startups;
• Entrepreneurs with experience in the development of high-tech businesses;
• Marketers who are interested in developing Legal Tech startups.

Subsequently, Legal Tech will receive substantial money. In 2014, investors invested $ 254 million in legal tech startups in the USA. We believe that the quality of hackathon projects will be so high that most of them will continue their life and development after it, as was the case with the solutions presented in Kiev.
