    About the report

Java is a language for Enterprise development, you can say - Capitalized, and with chances - the most popular language for working with PostgreSQL. Have you ever wondered if this bundle, Java with PostgreSQL, is really suitable for its task? Does it really live up to its expectations? This report is a technical report on the level of development of PostgreSQL and Java, which will answer the following basic questions:

    • Can Java take advantage of 100% of the performance provided by PostgreSQL? If not, where are the losses? And what can we do with them? Does PostgreSQL use any technical or architectural patterns that can limit Java performance?
    • Can we reach out from Java to absolutely all the functionality that PostgreSQL provides? And if not, what was hidden from us, and can we somehow cope with this in practice?
