Excursion to the nanocluster of Denmark: 4 different departments
For those who were surprised to find Denmark on the radar of advanced scientific countries, we will tell a little more.
If you look at a map of the countries of the world where the main article of export of each country is indicated (carefully, a heavy picture ), you can see that post-Soviet countries export oil and gasoline, and tiny Denmark - “scientific instruments and machinery”. A kilogram of oil is still cheaper than a kilogram of microprocessors =) Well, do not forget that a lot of IT technologies are made in Denmark: PHP, Ruby on Rails, Google Chrome engine, etc. Erlang language, BlueTooth technology and the chemical element “boron” are named after the great Danes.
Therefore, do not be surprised that Denmark has its own small Silicon Valley.
Here, Maxim Plahotniuc from Vinnitsa (Ukraine) works at DanChip, which is engaged in the creation of a new technology for the manufacture of solar cells - it seeks to achieve their production at room temperature.
Maxim gave us a tour of all the sights, and we made subtitles in Russian so that you too could see.
The tour consists of four small parts.

Part 1: DanChip Nanotechnology Center.
DanChip is essentially a nano lab right at the university.
You will be able to see the "clean room", a simulator of sunlight, a silicon crystal and the protective uniform of laboratory workers.

Part 2: DTU Corporate Store.
A brand-name store has been opened at the university - from t-shirts to periodic tables. But this is not just.
Maxim reveals the cards: DTU is a corporation that advertises itself on all fronts, even through souvenir products!
Including he tells the story of a student who reinvented the trash, and how she received millions of investments for her startup.
Part 3: the library
At the university, of course, there should be a library.
The peculiarity of this library is that it has almost no books . But there are free video consoles, 3D printers and plotters in the public domain.
Marginal note from the operator: the abundance of eastern-looking girls in hijabs, namely in the library, is particularly striking.

Part 4: DTU Skylab startup laboratory.
Perhaps this is the most striking part of the tour.
New materials hang on the stand and are waiting in the wings. Startups (including those already successful) are waiting for employees. Eminent companies conduct seminars to share the "secrets of success" and to recruit new employees. Freely accessible metal and carpentry workshops, legal assistance, investments - all at the reach of a dreamer.
The expression " fulfill your dreams " occurs in an interview about eight times!
In general, we wish you a pleasant viewing.
Do not forget to include Russian subtitles!
And subscribe to the channel - there will be a continuation and possibly an introductory course on nano-technologies (in Russian).
Only registered users can participate in the survey. Please come in.
