On September 1, 2015, amendments to the Federal Law “On the Protection of Personal Data” 242-ФЗ came into force, according to which personal data of Russians should be stored on the territory of the Russian Federation. The magazine “In Cloud.RF” conducted monitoring and found out which of the domestic cloud providers is ready to provide a full range of communication with employees of foreign companies in the process of transferring and subsequent servicing of cloud infrastructure.
The first step when choosing a cloud infrastructure in the Russian Federation for a foreign customer is to find a cloud service provider who is ready to seamlessly carry out the communication process in foreign (primarily English) languages. Foreign customers are looking for the opportunity to get comprehensive information about the services provided on the cloud provider's website, as well as freely interact by telephone and e-mail with commercial and technical services.
The monitoring of the readiness of domestic cloud providers to interact with foreign customers, conducted by V Oblaka.RF magazine, resulted in a ranked list of 20 companies, the leading positions in which were occupied by companies with a multilingual version of the site and personal account, providing the ability to communicate by phone and email with a sales service and technical support, having experience working with foreign customers and the ability to accept payments not only in rubles, but also in foreign currency.
