ChronoPay has completed the transfer of personal data of Russians to the territory of the Russian Federation

In connection with the entry into force of the law on personal data from September 1, ChronoPay transferred personal data to Russia. Now the server capacities of the company are located on the Russian hosting of DataPro .

“In general, I would like to note the timeliness and reasonable need for such legislative initiatives. In my opinion, this policy, albeit in a tough way, but ultimately leads to a trusting relationship between business and online commerce and, finally, to a real understanding of the industry by the authorities, ”said the founder of ChronoPay Pavel Vrublevsky.

Work on the transfer of data was carried out for about a year.

“Despite the fact that the transfer of servers was a prerequisite for continued work in Russia, we received very significant benefits from this step - the transaction processing speed was reduced by 2 seconds. Reducing transaction processing time affects the conversion of the online platform, and hence the growth in profits of the company and its customers. In addition, using the Russian platform, it will be possible to increase the stability of processing, which will also positively affect the business of our customers, ” said Alexei Kovyrshin, ChronoPay CEO.

ChronoPay servers remaining in Europe and the USA will be used for purposes not related to the processing of personal data of Russians.

ChronoPay system provides processing of online payments using plastic cards. About 1,500 Russian companies use its services. Among them there are such large customers as MTS and Transaero . Direct customers of ChronoPay are legal entities to which the law on personal data does not apply. But ChronoPay servers process bank transactions of their customers, individuals, representative of ChronoPay Denis Dunyushkin explained to Vedomosti. And to perform such operations, you must have access to the personal data of users.
