IIDF plans to launch a training course in Internet business in more than 100 Russian universities

    The Internet Initiatives Development Fund ( IIDF ) has developed a special training course on launching and managing Internet projects. This course will be launched in September this year at 22 universities in our country.

    Among them are universities such as Moscow State University. Lomonosov Moscow State Technical University. Bauman, HSE , ITMO University , Ural Federal University , Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and other educational institutions of Russia. The IIDF will also be supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

    By September 2016, the training course should be launched in more than one hundred Russian universities. The purpose of the course is to create an understanding among students about how projects in the field of Internet business are created and developed. The curriculum is designed for undergraduate students.

    University teachers will undergo special training and online consultations with the authors of the course before they begin to read it to students. Universities will be equipped with all the necessary teaching materials. In the framework of the training course, in addition to ordinary lectures and seminars, a series of video lectures will be held with expert practitioners. They will cover topics such as finding a business model for their project, analyzing and evaluating the market, presenting the project, seeking investment, introducing the product to the market and promoting it.

    A number of practical tasks are provided for each topic. Students will work on their own learning projects in groups. And teachers will act as business trainers. At the end of the course, students will demonstrate the first results and will defend Internet projects in front of teachers and experts, the Firrma publication reports with a reference to the FRII message.

    Margarita Zobnina, PhD in Economics, associate professor at the Higher School of Economics, will oversee the implementation of the Internet entrepreneurship course. “The IIDF course is based on the methodology for the development of startups from world gurus - Steve Blanck and Alexander Osterwalder, further developed taking into account the vast experience of the foundation,” she said.
