Xiaomi signed an agreement on the distribution of mobile devices in Russia

    Xiaomi, a Chinese manufacturer of mobile devices, has entered into an agreement with the Russian company Marvel Distribution . She will start selling the first batch of Chinese devices in the coming days. So far, only Mi Pad tablets will be sold. They have passed the mandatory certification, and now in Russia their warranty and after-sales service will be carried out.

    Previously, Russians could buy Xiaomi tablets only through the Internet. The price of the device ranges from 13.5 thousand to 19 thousand rubles, depending on the configuration. Popular models Asus, NVIDIA and Samsung have similar characteristics, but they cost more - from 18, from 24 and from 25 thousand rubles, respectively.

    The distribution agreement was concluded in the spring. But it was not reported, since they were waiting for the delivery of the first batch of goods,explained to RBC the representative of Marvel Distribution, Julia Salagaeva.

    Megamind wrote that in 2015 Xiaomi plans to increase smartphone sales by 30%. This statement was made by Lei Yong, executive director of the company during the congress of people's representatives of China. The company decided to strengthen its influence in foreign markets: in Russia and Brazil.

    According to company forecasts, revenue will exceed 100 billion yuan ($ 16 billion). Last year, sales of their smartphones grew by more than 100% to 74.3 billion yuan. It sold 61.1 million devices. Xiaomi plans to sell between 80 and 100 million smartphones this year.

    And in the fourth quarter of 2014, the company ranked fifth among global smartphone manufacturers, gaining 4.4% of the market, IDC reports.

    Recall that at the end of 2014, Xiaomi became the most expensive technology startup in the world.
