Developing a cloud-based startup: RingCloud results for May

Friends, I continue to write about how we develop and market our product. The first post of product metrics can be found here . In May, we had planned a lot of interesting undertakings. Something happened, and something we decided to do in a different direction. Getting started…

For those who read us for the first time, who are we?

Since June 2014, we have been developing a virtual PBX for RingCloud business . In August, we conducted a beta testing of the product, in which more than 300 testers took part (here you can read more about it), in October we started selling the service to the first users, simultaneously improving the product based on their feedback, and in February of this year we reached full production fully armed.

    Traffic totals

Despite the comatose state of users in the first half of the month, we managed to revive attendance through posts, translations of series and contextual advertising (it worked, in fact, only in the last two weeks). As a result, we did not lose much in traffic. Plans for June are even more Napoleonic. It remains only to take and do.

    REST API

In May, as we planned, we launched our API and a detailed description of it . It is worth noting that we are one of the few virtual telephone exchanges that provide such a wide range of functions for working with the system through the API. In fact, almost all cloud / virtual exchanges operate as a “box” on an external server and limit the freedom of users. If you are interested in how and on what our API was raised, then you can read a detailed post on Habré . There, our lead developer described everything clearly with code and other technical chips.

    Tariff Plans

In a previous post, I wrote that we are starting full-scale testing of product demand in the context of various tariff plans. By the end of the month, we decided to move away from a complex line with four tariffs, which segmented users by the number of employees. Now we have only two tariffs that are easy to understand - for one employee (interesting for freelancers and other novice entrepreneurs) and an unlimited tariff (closes all other categories of business). We have invested full functionality in each of these tariffs without any restrictions. The task for May is to record an increase in sales. :)

It turned out to be especially pleasant for those users who were initially on more expensive tariff plans. Now for them, the use of a virtual PBX RingCloud has become even more profitable.

Mars project + new concept RingCloud ID

I wrote about this in a previous post. Now the idea has overgrown with normal TK and tasks inside our project manager. I will not give information on the project itself, since it’s a secret, but you can already talk about RingCloud ID.

In fact, the current administrator user account (owner of the virtual PBX domain) is reformatted to the central account for all our products. After authorization, the user will end up in an ecosystem of products integrated among themselves that can be activated for use both all at once and in any necessary order. We will let the user begin to automate their business from any direction (solving so many already known “pains” of novice entrepreneurs) and further only increase the number of automated processes. And all this within the framework of one system with a single account and balance. The delivery of the Mars project is scheduled for early July. Then you will see both RingCloud ID and a new product from our team.

    Thanks!
