Russian Post has launched two services for online stores

Russian Post launched two services at once , primarily aimed at business users and Russian online stores: Parcel Online and Courier Online.

The Russian Post website said in a statement that corporate customers who send more than 1 thousand items every month will be able to use new services and send parcels weighing up to 5 kg at fixed prices with guaranteed delivery times.

Departures will undergo priority processing in the sorting center of Podolsk and will be sent to departments of 38 major cities. In the European part of Russia, an online package will cost from 149 rubles, to the Far East - up to 289 rubles. Courier Online involves delivery to an address in one of 27 cities for a cost of 199 to 439 rubles.

Experts note that in this way, Russian Post is trying to diversify - Chinese AliExpress remains the main customer of mail delivery, and all online retail has almost completely gone to other operators, such as DPD and DHL.

The director of the 220 Volt online store Leonid Dovladbegyan expressed the following opinion in an interview with Kommersant:
The issue is implementation. If Russian Post, which still has the best logistics capabilities in the country and a huge network of distribution points, develops convenient interfaces for working with these services, then e-commerce will reach for it.
