How color works

Why is the formal definition of color either present or not, and is this due to the fact that it was given by the very Schrödinger? What did Weinberg mean when he called his revolutionary article, Geometry of Colors ? Why does the color triangle have two angles, although intuitively it seems that there should be one? Why does a regular children's drawing show that the author is okay with color perception, and why does an artist-academician learn to turn it off all his life? Why are clusters in the color space, but they are not? Why does any woman know about the phenomenon of metamerism of colors, and scientists forget all the time? How many color channels should a good camera have? And what about the monitor? Why is the answer different? What about the colors of the printer?

Answers to these and other questions in the next lecture, which was given at the Faculty of Computer Science, opened in HSE with the support of Yandex.
