    About company and product

    PJSC "Intersoft Eurasia", was founded in 2010 for innovative projects and technologies by its founder and leader, is a candidate of technical sciences, Vladimir Elin. In November 2011, the company became a resident of Skolkovo, and in December of the same year received its first grant to develop innovations in the framework of the DO-RA project to create an inexpensive, compact ionizing radiation measurement device for smartphones and computers with the dosimeter-radiometer function. Actually, by the combination of the first letters of the functional of the device, the DO-RA project is named, read equally in the Russian and English versions.     The idea of ​​the DO-RA project is based on the first invention of the company's founder Yelin V., which arose exactly after the Fukushima-1 nuclear disaster, first expressed in the article, and then logically developed as a result of writing a patent application based on a patent search.
    Later, after obtaining a patent for a utility model and creating the first prototypes of DO-RA devices, it was decided to continue the development of the project within the emerging high-tech territory of the Skolkovo Technopark. At first, all devices of the DO-RA line worked using an audio protocol via a mini audio connector of smartphones and tablets with a Geiger-Muller counter with relative sensitivity to ionizing Gamma radiation no worse than ± 25%., During the period of obtaining developer licenses from Apple, Microsoft, Android. Then prototypes of DO-RA cross-platform devices with more advanced reading electronics and working on various remote radio protocols and DoRaSi solid-state detectors with relative sensitivity to ionizing Alpha, Beta and Gamma radiation, no worse than ± 10%, were built.
    Currently, the DO-RA team is working on creating its own DO-RA.micro chip for its potential serial integration into smartphones and computers at the production stage. One of the development directions is also a smart watch with an AI sensor.

    The measurement range of DO-PA with silicon detector DoRaSi Alpha, Beta, Gamma from 60 keV to 10 meV.     The innovativeness of the DO-RA product is subject to the protection of inventive priority enshrined in the corresponding patent for utility models and inventions in Russia, the USA, Japan, Korea, China, India, the European Union and other countries, in the possibility of mass replication of the DO-RA line devices, in order to prevent about excessive ionizing radiation in the here and now mode.

    Where is the product used? What is the market?

    DO-RA devices, depending on their modification, are widely used and in particular: in everyday life, at industrial facilities at nuclear stations and medical centers working with radionuclides, in aviation, astronautics, in military affairs, in mining and in everyday life . Most often, ordinary people travel with excess ionizing radiation in ordinary air travel, where at altitudes of 11.5–12.00 km, the standard flight corridor of a civilian airliner is 25–30 times higher than normal. In the year air transport uses more than 1 billion people. And excessive ionizing radiation, first of all, adversely affect the immune system and individual organs of humans and animals, causing side effects in various chronic diseases.
    According to the initial estimates of marketers in different continents, the market in the form of peripheral devices and modules DO-RA is up to 10 million per year. And in the case of their integration in the form of microchips DO-RA.micro, from 100 million units per year.

    Development plans

    In the near future, we plan to transfer verified design documentation in IPC format to factories in China and Russia in order to assess production possibilities and gradually increase replication, depending on demand and pre-orders. In the meantime, we have about 35,000 orders for DO-RA devices in the form of individual and wholesale batches made through our official website.

    Plans for 2016 to fulfill existing orders and make out online through a custom application DO-RA placed on all significant Internet sites, like: App Store, Google Play, WP Market and others. According to our feeling, it is about 40.000 devices in various modifications and form factors. If we talk in monetary terms, in 2016 it is about $ 1 - 1.2 million.

    Your opinion about Skolkovo, how has this opinion been transformed from the moment the application was submitted to the participants to the current time?

    From 2011 to the present, Skolkovo Technopark has achieved very good development indicators, both in the issue of intellectual property and in start-ups turnover, it has its own base for managers, exhibition facilities, offices and technological premises for residents-innovators are being prepared. The technology of international expertise, design and issuance of grants for projects has been developed, however, due to external and sometimes unreasonable criticism, the system has become bureaucratic, apparently defending itself from external attacks. Nevertheless, the management is as friendly, qualified and responsive as it was at the beginning of its journey.

    How did the Skolkovo Foundation contribute to your success? Would it be possible to implement the project without a fund?

    In my particular case, the Fund made the most basic contribution to the project - it instilled in me hope that it was necessary for someone and, of course, provided significant financial assistance in the form of 2 grants in total up to $ 1 million in prices until 2014, and same provided benefits when conducting research and development.

    PS: My personal attitude to Skolkovo. Why did I decide to write about successful companies from our technological mecca?

    Skolkovo. What are you thinking about right now? What was the first thought that flashed through your mind? What do you associate with this word?
    We often hold opinions that have been shaped by the media. The first time I visited Skolkovo was at the event “ Robot Night 2015 ” and since then I have changed my attitude to this project dramatically. I thought it was a closed project for cutting money, but it turns out there are worthy products. I thought no one would listen to me there, but it turns out that Skolkovo has a face, and it smiles.

    I dream to make a fitness tracker for the secreta particular sport. Now we are preparing a second prototype with the team. To fully transform a prototype into a successful commercial project, resources and experience are needed. Even to get to crowdfunding, oddly enough, we need a lot of money.

    I do not want to wait for 3-5 years, so I made an application for obtaining the status of Skolkovo resident. Formal verification was easy, now the application is blocked for a substantive examination.
    Initially, my attitude towards the application was rather like a questionnaire for describing intentions, having gone deep into the topic, I realized that this was far from the case. Now I am preparing the second version of the application and reviewing information about successful companies from Skolkovo, charging with success!
