    Surely many of you, being in the store, did not think about how everything is arranged there and how everything works. By the nature of my professional activity, I have to think about it constantly and today I will tell you about how the store is launched.

    To begin with, after all the agreements with the management of the store, we arrive at the facility and are located on a specially equipped workplace:

    There are different approaches to launching hyper, my one of many does not claim to be the best.

    So there is hyper. Equipment comes to him in the form of a pallet with cash desks. In a set: a system unit, a manual barcode scanner, a stationary scanner, various cables, a product keyboard, a cash drawer, a customer display and a cashier display.

    Usually, if we go to the store, then as a rule together, that is, we share the front of work. One is engaged in the installation of cash registers, the other for example, servers.     Now let's get a little bit into the holy of holies, how the installation and configuration of software is done with us. If the server for the store is installed, then you need to add the necessary equipment to it. We enter the server and add the necessary equipment on the server:

    And while the ticket offices are not connected to the network, the server waits for us to connect them. What will we do now.

    To connect the cash register equipment, we use special schemes. Such a scheme helps any engineer:

    Of course, I give an example based on our software . But in principle, this process is similar for any software.

    Set up means. And we are waiting ... And what are we waiting for, but we are waiting for a bank specialist who will bring the bank terminals and files to them, in which the bank’s special settings are written.

    Yes, by the way, I forgot to say that for each major client we have launch instructions that describe all the processes, so the newcomer will not have to tight.     Now you need to configure the LAN. Different customers open stores differently. For example, with client A, the opening and all LAN installation work starts 2 weeks before the opening, client B can have one month, and with client C everything is planned in 3 months.

    The first thing you need to cross it all. Server and server cabinets are different, but, most importantly, to make it look beautiful:

    Probably experienced IT specialists will say what a shame it is to cross. Do not be afraid, this is how the newcomers cross that we take with us to objects - to learn. Then one of the elders comes, threatens with a finger. And everything becomes beautiful:




    But let's go back to the store.

    Now for the scales. Before the store opens, the scales are brought to the store, where they are placed around the trading floor. I will not particularly elaborate on the intricacies of the settings. As a rule, about 40 different types of weights come to standard hyper. First, you need to make network settings for each scale, then if the scales are Wi-Fi, tie them to a specific point. Well, and then load the goods.

    The store is gradually becoming normal. Price checkers are hung up. By the way, about price checkers, or in Russian - price check devices. They are Wi-Fi. I’m saying right away to those particularly distressed, you can poke your finger at them as much as you want, everything is locked. What else needs to be configured in the store? Well, of course, price tags.

    Somewhere 2 days after the installation of cash desks was completed, all the equipment was connected and set up, a dress rehearsal was held with the cashiers - the main cashier came out and ordered that the shift was opened and hyper workers could buy goods:
