In-App Payment now for Asha platform

Developers working with the Nokia Asha platform, a minute of attention.

Last week, the official announcement of the final version of the payment system in Nokia In-App Payment applications for the Asha and Series 40 platforms took place , which before that was at the stage of open beta testing. Find out how this innovation will help developers of Nokia Asha and where you can get more information about Nokia IAP you can under the cut.

The In-App Payment (IAP) model, also known as Freemium or Free to Play, is currently one of the dominant monetization models among all existing mobile applications and games in the industry. One of the development companies that has already successfully used it when creating its applications and games for Asha / Series 40 is the Danish Lunagames:

Using the IAP model is perhaps one of the few ways to maximize and make constant profits from your applications. Even if you have a ready-made application in the Nokia store, you can easily start using this model by offering users new features or additional content.

For example, you can release an update for your game, which will include paid additions to the main scenario (additional levels or characters), character improvements (weapons, additional features) or virtual currency. In any case, Nokia In-App Payment is a good tool that stimulates the attraction of additional funds from users of your application.

An important point: using the Nokia IAP interface offers favorable conditions when working with payment systems for mobile operators: 70% of the profit goes to the developer, and 30% to the mobile operator. Currently, carrier billing for the Nokia Asha platform is available in the networks of 163 mobile operators in 61 countries of the world.

On top of that, the simplicity of the Nokia IAP interface, which allows you to make one-click purchases, minimizes the risk of difficulties or refusal of purchases among users. And since the system supports purchases through operators, there is no need to use your bank card, which in some cases discourages players from making purchases.
