US intelligence agencies and Egypt conducted a joint operation Phish Phry , which became the largest in the history of the Internet. In total, 100 people were prosecuted in two countries (53 in the USA and 47 in Egypt), which is a new world record for the number of hackers caught at a time.
The target of the special operation was the attackers involved in phishing attacks on American banks.
