HEX3 Nota Active Stylus at a Glance
Not so long ago on Kickstarter ended campaign to raise funds for the production of the first batch of the active stylus Nota. And tonight I received an envelope with the coveted device.
The whole feature and difference from the Chinese counterparts is that the tip thickness is only 3.7mm. Enough to see what is happening on the screen.

The package is modest. In a small box with a stylus, only a spare tip and battery are supplied, nothing more.

After switching on, the power button is illuminated by a red LED all the time. The brightness is small, sufficient to understand whether the device is turned on and at the same time not annoying.
The thickness of the stylus upset. It is clear that you need to accommodate electronics and a battery (AAA), but still, compared to Wakomowski, this stylus seems greasy. The upper aluminum part with the battery is heavier than the lower plastic and slightly outweighs. By the way, the plastic part is packed in soft-touch rubber, again losing to wacom.

And actually about working with the screen. The stylus slides across the screen much like a dry finger. Here are just the results may not please everyone. In the photo above you can see how the Nexus 5 reacts to the stylus. Red lines - an attempt to draw along the ruler. It can be seen that there is too much noise along the vertical axis. With quick strokes, this is not very noticeable (as in the photo), but small details without zoom can not be considered.
After testing with the nexus, I decided to try the stylus with the Chinese tablet Cube U9GT and then there was a bummer - the digitizer almost does not recognize the touch of the stylus. If you draw a line from edge to edge of the screen, you get a morse.
If you believe the promotional videos on the iPad, the picture is much better.
I will not draw any conclusions from this short review. It all depends on the devices with which the stylus is used (the price of which, by the way, is $ 50).
