Samsung has released a proprietary GamePad for mobile devices and the Mobile Console application
Good Friday, Habr!
The other day, Samsung pleased gamers with an entertaining novelty - the branded GamePad for mobile devices went on sale. Undoubtedly, such a gadget will appeal to all lovers of mobile entertainment.

GamePad easily turns a smartphone or tablet of the GALAXY family into a portable game console, quite capable of replacing a full-fledged home console. The new gamepad has a solid steel frame on which the mobile device with a diagonal from 4 to 6.3 inches is securely fixed. GALAXY devices can also be connected to the TV via an HDMI cable or the AllShare Screen Mirroring function and play very broadly.
GamePad itself connects to smartphones and tablets via a Bluetooth connection. All the main functions and features of the gadget have been optimized to work with devices of the GALAXY family that run on Android 4.1 and higher, including GALAXY Note 3, S4, Note II and S III. All of these mobile devices can connect to the GamePad via an NFC connection and instantly switch to game mode by pressing the “PLAY” button on the joystick itself.

When you click on the PLAY button, the user gets access to the Mobile Console, a new integrated application that allows you to view and buy games supported by GamePad. Currently, the range of games has 35 positions, among which you can find hits such as Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Aspalt8: Airborne, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Virtua Tennis Challenge and Prince Of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame. Samsung promises to significantly increase the number of games supported by the gamepad next year. The Mobile Console application itself can be downloaded by clicking on the “PLAY” button on the joystick or in the Samsung Apps store.
The GamePad received an 8-position D-Pad, two analog sticks, four action buttons and two trigger buttons, as well as Start, Select and Play buttons. The dimensions of the device are 137.78 x 86.47 x 31.80 mm and the weight is 195 grams. The battery has a capacity of 160 mAh.

So far, the GamePad can only be found on sale in several European countries, but in the coming weeks, the novelty should appear in Russia. The official price of the gadget in the domestic market has not been announced, so it remains only to quote Lenta.ru:
