Aquafairy Introduces Commercial Fuel Cell Charger

Many of us are waiting for the appearance of brand new chargers that do not need to be connected to a common electrical network. Yes, there are solar-powered chargers, that’s true, but not many really effective models. Wait 5-10 hours until the battery of the "solar" charger is charged is also not always possible. Recently, the Japanese company Aquafairy introduced a commercial fuel cell charger, which, perhaps, will contribute to the mass appearance of such devices on the market (oh, the Chinese!). Charging the AF-M3000 has a number of advantages, but there are also disadvantages, and very significant ones.

So, this charger can fill up the charge of such a device as the iPhone in just half an hour, it takes one of the fuel cells. There are only five such cells, but each of the cells is disposable. This is the main drawback at the moment, since the cost of a set of cartridges for the AF-M3000 costs a lot - $ 13 (and not everyone can afford to charge their mobile devices at $ 2.6 per charge cycle, right?).

The charger itself is also not cheap - you have to pay $ 316 for the right to own such a device. And alright, the high price of the charging itself would have been tolerated, if the fuel cells could have been refueled by ourselves. One-time use of cartridges is the problem. Perhaps the craftsmen will find a way to change the situation, but so far this is not possible.

So far, everything is similar to the situation with inkjet printers, when sellers are ready to give the printers themselves (budget models for sure) for free if the client came to this company for new cartridges. But if you calculate how much a year it takes to charge your devices using the AF-M3000, it becomes clear that it is cheaper to buy a portable diesel generator.
