microSD -> SD adapter extension cable
Surely, most owners of car DVRs had to notice how inconvenient it is to remove a microSD flash card. So in my case, without a long thin object or a long nail, it is simply impossible to get a flash drive. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the recorder is installed right behind the rear-view mirror and it is not provided for quick removal, and access to it is generally difficult.
I accidentally found a way out of the situation when I saw such a microSD to SD module in a Chinese online store . But specifically, this adapter is too short, and wait more than a month. Therefore, I decided to make such an extension cord myself, which, in fact, did.
It's no secret that microSD is a smaller version of a full-sized SD card with a different connector and these flash drives are fully compatible with each other. Therefore, for the possibility of using full-sized SD cards, I will make a microSD to SD extension cable adapter, especially since I already have a suitable SD card. MicroSD in the SD connector is easier to insert using a standard adapter . Thus, it will be possible to use both microSD and SD flash drives.
The adapter diagram is presented below in the form of a table with the numbers of microSD and SD contacts that need to be connected. Between contacts 4 and 3, 6 on the SD side, it will not be superfluous to also install a ceramic capacitor with a capacity of 0.1 µF.

The extension cord consists of a microSD plug that will be inserted into the slot instead of a flash drive, a flat flex cable and a board with a connector for a full-sized SD flash drive. The plug and the board are made by the LUT method on a double-sided fiberglass 1 mm thick.
The hardest part of the extension cord is the microSD plug. For its manufacture, it is necessary to stock up with a caliper and a flat file. It is important to maintain a size of exactly 11x15mm.
After half an hour of working with a file, you should get such plugs (you need one). At this stage, it is necessary to make sure that the plug is easily inserted and pulled out into the slot instead of a flash drive. Solder the flat flex cable to the plug. The distance between the tracks in the cable is 1mm. Solder should be minimum to prevent the formation of tubercles. The plug must remain flat.

We put a piece of double-sided tape between the board and the cable and glue the structure on both sides with tape. Adhesive tape must also be glued to the tracks, except for the contact pads. At the other end, solder the cable to the prepared board with an SD connector. The smd capacitor is soldered directly to the connector pins, to save space. We glue open sections of the tracks with electrical tape (not blue). Between the board and the cable, having previously laid the same piece of double-sided tape. We pack in heat shrink. A DVR with a full-sized SD flash card, everything works successfully.

In the car, I threw the connector with the USB flash drive behind the visor and now it is very convenient and quick to quickly remove it from there. Plus, now I don’t have to buy another flash drive, and the SD card lying around was used.
The project in Sprint Layout 6.0 with drawings of the microSD adapter and the SD card can be taken here .
Thanks for attention.
