Windows 8.1 and Visual Studio 2013 available for download

Hurrah! Something that many have been waiting for has happened - an update from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and the final version of Visual Studio 2013 are available for download :
* Announcement of an upgrade to Windows 8.1
* Announcement of the release of VS2013
* Announcement of the opening of the Windows Store for W8.1 applications

Update to Windows 8.1 is available Free for all Windows 8 users directly from the Windows Store.

You can download Visual Studio 2013 from your MSDN subscription (for example, by accessing through BizSpark if you are a startup), through DreamSpark (if you are a student), or from the studio's website - Trial and Express versions.
