Library.nu everything
The fight against piracy , previously affecting mainly audio and video content, has reached other types of information. Recently it became known that for the first time one of the largest e-book sites has been closed. Library.nu , known until 2011 as Gigapedia.com, gained wide popularity due to its huge collection of scientific and specialized literature. In total, more than 400 thousand high-quality books were presented on the site.
Under pressure from the Association of American Publishers (AAC), both Library.nu, where links to pirated books were stored, and the ifile.it service, where e-books were physically located, closed. The lawsuit claims copyright infringement of seventeen publishers.
