Gigabyte's new gaming PC fits in the palm of your hand

I rarely play games, and if I play, then on PS Vita, which does not require special gestures to start the game. But periodically I meet information about gaming devices that I would like to have as an addition to my gaming "farm." So, the other day there was news about a tiny, so to speak, gaming PC from Gigabyte, which is part of the Brix II line. This computer is very small in size, and fits in the palm of an adult. At the same time, developers are positioning their PC as a game, and not just a mini desktop. It is worth noting that the length of the rib of the case of this computer is only 11.5 centimeters.
The developers equipped it with a new processor from Intel, Haswell, as well as an integrated graphics chip Intel Iris Pro, which, according to the developers, runs at the level of the GeForce GT 650M from Nvidia (thanks to EvilHedgehog ). All this allowed to achieve significant performance with a minimum size. The device was first demonstrated at the 2013 Intel Developer Forum, where everyone could try the Dirt II gameplay on a new PC. According to eyewitnesses, the game went smoothly even at 1080p.

Intel says that this system can "pull" and Crysis 3, however, not at maximum settings. Of course, you can not compare this PC and game monsters, but still, the device’s performance is very high for such a volume.

At the same time, the price of the device is not the highest. It is planned to sell at $ 499– $ 599 US dollars, depending on the configuration. Brix II, the name of this model, is equipped with everything you need, including HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, four USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet. There is also a wireless Wi-Fi connection module and headphone output.
And yes, the minus of the model is that it comes without RAM, hard disk and OS. It is assumed that the buyer will do it himself. The system will be on sale in December.
