Port of Age of Empires for smartphones will be released before the end of the year

Microsoft is going to license its console and computer games for porting them to mobile devices. Porting will not be carried out by the Redmond giant itself, but by its new partner, the Japanese game company Klab Inc, which is engaged in the release of games for various mobile platforms (so far we are talking about iOS and Android).

Klab Inc. in the near future will be engaged in porting "Age of Empires" and other games from Microsoft to mobile devices. As for the game mentioned above, it will be available (according to the free-to-play model) by the end of 2013 (the reporting period), after which other toys will also be launched on mobile gaming platforms. Microsoft has confirmed information about the "Age of Empires", but so far the representatives of the corporation do not give additional comments regarding the release of other games.

Previously, the corporation has already tried to port toys like "Ms. 'Splosion Man' on mobile platforms, so this is not the first such experience of the company. Apparently, Microsoft is trying to make some money on old and "star" games, licensing them for third-party companies. I would like to hope that other popular toys will soon appear on smartphones - because in this case, games literally undergo a rebirth.

UPD . Microsoft has announced that the game will be released for Windows Phone, but later than for Android and iOS. The company’s representatives also say that only this game is being prepared for launch on mobile platforms, it’s not about all the others.
