Blizzard goes to the mobile market - "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft" in the summer on iPads

At Penny Arcade Expo, Blizzard announced its new game.
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft will be a collectible card game with a Free-to-Play distribution model. We are promised more than 300 cards with the ability to buy packs of 5 cards each. Blizzard's new creation claims support for battle.net and the ability to play 1 on 1 with opponents around the world.



The product will be primarily released on PC and Mac, a little later on the iPad (!) Interestingly, only 15 people are working on the project, it was specifically designed to experiment whether a small team can do something in the “epic Blizzard style” " (from).
Beta is expected in the summer, the release is scheduled for this year. Beta registration is now available .
