DevCon 2013 will host the “Coding Night” hackathon

Dear software developers and developers!

On behalf of the DevCon 2013 conference team, I am pleased to announce the holding of the “ Coding Night ” hackathon with lecture and practical parts at the conference .

As part of the evening program DevCon 2013, participants will have the opportunity to join other developers and devote evening and night time to implementing ideas and developing applications for Windows 8.

The coding night hackathon will be held from 21-00 pm to 03-00 on the first day of the conference .

Hackathon target

We hold a hackathon for those conference participants who like to program and will be ready to realize their ideas right on the site in the company of friends and like-minded people. Participation in the hackathon will allow participants to try in practice all those interesting things that will be discussed on the first day of the conference.

Lecturers and presenters of Hackathon

Sergey Pugachev

Software Development Expert. He is the author of books on developing applications for Windows Phone and Windows 8, which can be downloaded free of charge at: http://www.spugachev.com/windows8book.

He has made presentations at numerous conferences, including DevCon, TechEd Russia, Patterns & Practices Summit and etc. In 2009-2012, he was Microsoft MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional). Currently, he is engaged in the development of software solutions, as well as in collaboration with developers in the Russian representative office of Microsoft.

Denis Pasechnik

An expert on project management and building quality assurance systems as part of a full software development cycle, Microsoft

An active supporter of Agile product methodologies with an emphasis on instrumental support from Microsoft, primarily Visual Studio, TFS, Project Server. He has been working in the IT field since 1996. Certified IPMA Level (B) project manager, IPMA Assessor certified. Has Microsoft certification (MCSD, MCDBA, MCT, MSFP).

Since 2003, he has been a member of the Microsoft Regional Director program, and since 2007 MVP, specializing in the Visual Studio Team System. Since 2010 he has been working at Microsoft.

Stas Pavlov

Software Technology Expert. He has been working in the field of information technology for more than 11 years. He started as a database developer, then was engaged in client and web development technologies. The last few years have been actively working with embedded and mobile solutions. He is the author of several books on embedded Microsoft operating systems.

Hackathon “Coding Night”

The hackathon will be held on the first day of the DevCon 2013 conference in the evening from 21-00 pm to 03-00 at night.

The hackathon will be divided into two parallel rooms: lecture and practical. Lectures will be held in the lecture hall on application development, development methods and application of development tools.

In the practical room, any conference participant will have the opportunity to participate in the implementation of their ideas and the development of Windows 8 applications. Experts, presenters and lecturers of the hackathon will help in the development and implementation of ideas.

All participants of the hackathon will receive special insignia - “achievements”.
