A curious communicator was introduced by i-mate at the just-ending Mobile World Congress forum. At first glance it seems that this is a typical device on Windows Phone 8, but your eyes are deceiving you: the gadget is running a full-fledged Windows 8 Pro, which was made possible thanks to the use of the Intel Atom processor (Clover Trail platform). The device is equipped with a 4.7-inch display, 2 GB of memory, 64 GB storage, as well as wireless interfaces HSPA + and LTE 4G. Sales of the new i-mate are supposed to start in the summer, with a cost of $ 750.
The i-mate also plans to manufacture a docking station for the new communicator, turning it into a full-fledged desktop computer. The dock comes with a 23-inch touchscreen monitor, keyboard and mouse. In addition, a 10-inch tablet with a FullHD display can be included in the kit as an additional component. The entire “premium geek kit” costs $ 1,600.
