Mylophone - sending notes from the phone to the "soap"

    Hello dear habrozhitel!

    I want to share with you a service that allows you to send notes via email directly to your phone via email.

    It happens that an interesting thought comes to mind at a very late time, or you just suddenly think of something important. At the same time, out of the means at hand, as a rule, only a telephone. What to do?

    At first I tried to use notepad on the phone. But the trouble is that I remembered its existence, as a rule, only when you need to write something :)

    As it turned out once when talking with friends, they have the same story. Continuing the idea, we decided to make such a service as Mylophone. The idea of the service is simple:
    - you call the phone number +7 (925) 783-75-12 and dictate your message;
    - the service translates the voice into text and sends you an email;
    - just in case, the letter contains a link to a file with voice recording.

    You can try to use the service right now. The only thing you need to first create a binding <phone number> ---.

    This requires registration. It is extremely simple - you fill out two fields on the site www.mylofon.com and you're done! A password will be sent to the specified email to access your personal account. It may be needed in the future to change email or to change some settings.

    In your personal account, you can set a template for the subject and body of the sent letter. And also one of the options:
    - “do not answer the call”
    - “answer the call after a voice greeting”
    - “Lift the handset immediately”

    As it turned out already in the process of implementing the service, a message is recorded without lifting the handset. Our joy knew no bounds! After all, this meant that calls could be completely free!

    Then, however, our joy was a little overshadowed - it turned out that for Beeline numbers this somehow did not work. Therefore, I had to introduce these options. And for all numbers, with the exception of Beeline prefixes, the option “do not answer the call” is activated by default.

    What are the benefits of the service

    - Most of the time we spend in places where there is a GSM connection.
    - To use the service to the disgrace is simple - dial a number from a notebook. And no matter what your phone number is.
    - The user determines the cost of the service for himself ("pay as much as you want").
    - The cost of a call is most often free, the maximum is the cost of a call to a regular Megfon number. An idea that needs to be written is much more expensive :-)

    Technical information

    Since most of the residents of Habr are IT specialists, I think many will be interested in what the service is made of. Therefore, I’ll immediately answer that the service is “blinded” from Multifon, Asterisk and Google Speech Recognition.

    Integration

    Recently, after reading a book by David Allen, I started using the GTD service - Nirvanahq. Like many other services, it provides an email to which you can send yourself notes. So in the future it was this email that I indicated in Mylofon, and now I can send notes to myself by voice directly to the “Inbox”.
    In a similar way, you can integrate Mylophone with any service that has import from email. For example with Evernote. How to find out the email address of your account in Evernote is described in sufficient detail here: blog.evernote.com/en/2010/03/17/mail-to-evernote

    Only registered users can participate in the survey. Please come in.
