Applying for a passport online and getting it out of turn is a practice already tested by many. This is done through gosuslugi.ru , a single portal of state and municipal services (functions).
The first thing to do is, of course, register. Registering on the site is a simple procedure (see previous post). However, do not forget to lay a minimum of 14 days to receive the activation code of your personal account. In principle, even if you are not going to get a passport soon, starting a personal account on the site is still worth it now: believe me, it will come in handy.
Application
In your personal account you will immediately find the button "Electronic Services". Choose FMS, and that option from the ones that suits you. For example, “State service for issuing, replacing a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, identifying a citizen of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Russian Federation”.
In order to apply, you will need the following documents:
- Personal Photos
- Application for the issuance (replacement) of a passport
- Documents required for affixing mandatory marks in the passport
- Documents proving citizenship of the Russian Federation
- Passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation to be replaced
- State duty payment receipt
By clicking on any document name on the site, you will see a tab on which there will be detailed information on how this document should look.
After attaching all the necessary documents and filling out the questionnaire, just click the "Submit Application" button.
What's next?
Further, the system processes and sends the request to government agencies to go through the registration stages, verify the application and make the final decision. If the service is successfully performed at all stages, the system gives a positive answer, and government agencies send an email to the user with a proposal to prepare a package of necessary documents, make payment and come to the territorial department of the department to submit documents. In the event of a failure at any stage, the system should send the user an e-mail indicating the reasons for the failure.
If the application is approved, you must bring the documents to the specified address and give the originals.
After 10 days, a letter will be sent to the user’s e-mail about the status of the application - for example, “Document in preparation”. When the passport is ready, the number indicated during registration is called from the OVIR and invited to pick up the finished passport.
Upon receipt of the passport, a citizen of the Russian Federation must sign a fountain pen with a black gel filler at the designated places on the second page of the passport and in the application for issuing (replacing) the passport. That’s all, in general!
