Next App Star: Global Windows Phone Application Contest

January 14, 2013 launched the global competition Windows Phone applications - Next App Star . And it is available for Windows Phone developers around the world. In order to participate in the competition, it is enough to be a developer registered in Dev Center, go to a special section before March 5 of this year and submit an application. All your applications published in the catalog until March 5 will participate in the competition.
If you have not developed the application or developed, but have not yet published, then you can register now and publish the application until March 5.
Here is a short video from Laura Foy (in English) with a story about this contest.

Principles of selection of competitive works

Applications submitted to the competition will be evaluated based on both user ratings and application quality, including the use of new features of Windows Phone 8, such as live tiles. The number of works put up for public voting will narrow to 64. Over the next weeks, the number of works will be reduced to 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 and finally the winner will be determined! Prizes will also be drawn in passing to encourage people to participate in the contest (details will be later). There will also be various opportunities for promoting applications and gaining new users.

    Big prizes

The prize fund is thousands of dollars for the authors of 64 applications to be selected, including a smartphone based on Windows Phone 8 - Nokia Lumia 920, an annual free subscription to Dev Center.
The application that reached the finals will receive advertising time in prime time on US TV channels. As a result, the developer will be in the center of attention of a large audience.

Windows Phone Next App Star is more than a competition. This is a way to thank the best developers and encourage the creation of dynamic, fun, high-quality applications. Please take the time to visit Dev Center and register for the contest.
