The first certified Android set-top box for downloading torrents
BBK and other companies have been releasing media set-top boxes for television for a long time, through which you can transfer files from your computer to your TV, receive IPTV and download torrents. The latter function is especially useful. The prefix remains turned on for the night and downloads the latest series of films, according to a given list. After downloading, all these films are immediately available for viewing on TV.
The torrent download function was usually positioned as secondary, optional, but today BBK launched the BitTorrent Box for Android, in which this function is the main one. This is the world's first certified set-top box with the word BitTorrent in the title. Let's see how copyright holders will react to such “impudence”.
The 4 GB of flash memory built into the set-top box is not enough for a long time, the IP1501 model comes without a HDD, but supports the connection of an internal or external drive. In this case, the set-top box can work as a VCR, recording scheduled TV shows, pausing them and rewinding advertisements on TV.
Alternatively, movies can be saved to a flash card or USB stick, which are now available up to 1 terabyte .
The device connects to the router via Ethernet, and after downloading it distributes the content to all surrounding devices via WiFi 802.11 b / g / n.
Supported video formats: MPEG 1/2/4 (MPEG 4 Part 2), H.264, VC-1, H.263, VP6 (640 x 480), Xvid, RMVB 8/9/10, RM, WMV (V9) , AVI, TS, M2TS, TP, TRP, ISO, VOB, DAT, MP4, MPEG, MPG, MOV (MPEG 4, H.264), ASF, FLV (640 x 480), MKV, M4V.
