Joint RIM and Marmalade action for game developers

RIM and Marmalade have announced the launch of an action that allows developers to get a free PlayBook tablet and a limited-term multi-platform SDK license. The only condition is to release your gaming application for the tablet of a Canadian company.

The developer is required to first register on the Marmalade website. After that, over the next seven days, you must provide registration information for the BlackBerry App World store, which can be done here. As a result, you will receive a special copy of the Marmalade SDK for the PlayBook, and you will also be sent the tablet itself for debugging and testing for a period of six months. After successfully publishing the game on App World, Marmalade will additionally provide a multi-platform indie license for its SDK for a period of six months, and you can keep it for yourself on a PlayBook. If the game is not published within six months, the device will have to be returned back.

Both current Marmalade SDK users (the license does not matter) and “newcomers” can take part in the promotion. More can be read on the site Marmalade.

Interested parties may also come in handy . Set up your Marmalade SDK for your PlayBook and prepare to publish your app on App World.
