Swumanoid (SWimming hUMANOID robot)

Swumanoid was created at Tokyo Institute of Technology to clarify the effects of physical forces acting on a swimmer's body (fluid resistance, etc).

The robot copies all movements of the swimmer thanks to 20 installed engines.

Robot parts were created using a 3D printer.

The average swimming speed is 300 feet in 2 minutes 36 seconds (91 meters).
